BeatYourBacklog is here to help you track your gaming. Use it in good faith, don't abuse it, and don't spoil it for everyone else. If you do, we'll have to stop you.
You agree to use BeatYourBacklog fairly and responsibly. This means:
We reserve the right to suspend or restrict accounts that violate these terms.
We get it — you have a lot of games. But importing thousands of entries in rapid succession puts a strain on the system and degrades performance for other users. If your import activity appears to be spammy or excessive, we may temporarily limit your access or require you to slow down.
If you have a legitimately large library, get in touch and we'll work with you to get everything imported without causing issues.
BeatYourBacklog uses a shared Twitch API key to provide certain features, such as fetching game metadata. This API key is a shared resource with rate limits imposed by Twitch.
If your usage causes the API key to be rate-limited, throttled, or revoked, it will prevent other users from accessing those features. Excessive or abusive API requests may result in your access being restricted to protect the service for everyone else.
You retain ownership of all data you add to BeatYourBacklog — your game library, session records, notes, and progress markers. We provide the platform to store and display it, but it's yours.
BeatYourBacklog is provided "as is." We do our best to keep the service running smoothly, but we can't guarantee 100% uptime. We may perform maintenance, updates, or make changes to the service at any time.
If you repeatedly violate these terms, we reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access. We'll try to communicate with you first, but in cases of serious abuse we may act immediately.
We may update these terms from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
If you have questions about these terms or need help with anything, reach out through our support forum.
